MarekHamsik is eager for Napoli to win Serie A

Gonzalo Higuain was the top goal-scorer of Napoli and of the entire Italian League, Serie A during the season of 2015-16 as the Argentine attacker scored a total of 36 goals. He was recently signed by Juventus for an astronomically high fee of €90 million and this leave Napoli without their star player of the previous season.

Despite not having their main goal-scorer, MarekHamsik is feeling optimistic and happy about what Napoli can accomplish in this new season.

For the past decade, Napoli has been finishing in the top 5 spots of the Serie A but they just can’t manage to pull through and snatch the coveted 1rst place position of the Italian League and the captain of Napoli, MarekHamsik has recently talked about his current situation in the club and what he is hoping to accomplish in the 2016-17 season.

MarekHamsik recently signed a contract extension which is going to keep him with Napoli at least until 2020 and the Slovak midfielder and he voiced his happiness in doing this decision as he said: “I feel at ease at Napoli and to play at a club like this is an honor for me. Napoli is a part of me, it’s my family. I have a very good relationship with the President Aurelio De Laurentiis and the Coach Maurizio Sarri. Naples is a very passionate city and I love it.

“We want to have a great season and do our best in every competition. The Italian League is very difficult to win, and the Champions League is the biggest club competition in the world. It won’t be easy, but at the same time it’s very exciting.”

Even though Napoli lost their main goal-scorer of the previous season, they are still considered to be as one of the clubs of the Serie A that has a realistic chance to overthrow Juventus and become the new champions of Italy and MarekHamsik is determined to make it happen.
