CHELSEA BID FOR PEPE REINA

Premier League side Chelsea has reportedly submitted a bid of €8 million for Pepe Reina. Stamford Bridge are looking at capable replacements for the outgoing Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian shot stopper is keen on a move to Real Madrid but the Blues have halted further negotiations until they find a replacement.

Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri worked with the former Liverpool man Reina whilst at Napoli. He asked that the keeper be returned to England if Courtois wants to exit. The deal is complicated as Reina only just moved to AC Milan from Napoli this summer. Milan will seek an improved offer or outrightly refuse it, as per reports. They recently just got off Financial Fair Play issues and are eager to settle early in the season. If Milan agree to the deal, then Courtois can easily move to Santiago Bernabeu.

Chelsea can also target GianluigiDonnarumma, especially since the goalie has endured a hard time in the Italian capital. The 19-year old keeper is constantly harassed and derided so he could decide to move to London this summer for a fresh start. He is quite experienced for his age and Chelsea should be able to get him cheap for all his prospects due to the financial issues at Milan.]

Chelsea also have Jordan Pickford at home to target. Everton would want to keep a tight lid on the England international. The 24-year old did very well at the World Cup and has seen his profile rise high in recent years. He would not come cheap though if Chelsea decide to further pursue the interest.

There are others like Kevin Trapp of PSG who is keen on a move due to no game time in Paris. With his profile in the German team quick depleting, he would be eager to move if Chelsea want him.
